It is strange, because it is hard for a non-english-speaking guy, as me, to write a short sentence, that is not only correct, but even smart.I used the greek poet Challimacus 'Mega biblion, mega kakon', that I translated in 'Big book, big harm'; J. Godsey decided it was 'the one she laughed loudest', so the prize.

A little thing but a nice help to my conceit!
Per quanto possa sembrar strano, ho vinto una gara di un blog americano per un commento su una incisione del XIX secolo.
Strano perché è difficile, per un non anglofono come me, scrivere in inglese una frase concisa che non solo sia corretta ma anche spiritosa.
Ho usato 'Mega biblion, mega kakon' del poeta greco Callimaco che ho tradotto come 'Big book, big harm' (Gran libro, gran danno) e J. Godsey ha deciso che era quella 'che l'ha fatta ridere più sonoramente', per cui il premio.
Bibliophile Bullpen è un blog che leggo spesso (è nei i miei feed) ed ha un sito web collegato, sicpress, con un buon catalogo di prodotti per la pulizia e la riparazione di libri usati che può essere di un qualche interesse. Vale la pena dare un'occhiata anche ai filmati 'Fallo da te' .
Un evento molto piccolo, ma un incoraggiamento alla mia vanità!
